[2022-2023 Chamber Singers Audition Information Below]

The Armstrong Chamber Singers are a highly select extra-curricular ensemble from Armstrong High School in Plymouth, Minnesota.  The ensemble is made up of 26 singers selected from a choral program of nearly 450 students.

The Chamber Singers perform frequently on the state and national level.  They have represented Armstrong High School in performance at the Minnesota Governor’s Residence, State Capitol, Guthrie Theatre, Orchestra Hall,
the National Cathedral and the White House.  In addition to these opportunities, the Chamber Singers have served the community in numerous performances and service projects including singing for Second Chance for Life, whose membership includes heart and lung recipients from the University of Minnesota Hospital, North Memorial Hospital patients and staff, Second Harvest Food Shelf, Choice Inc., Toys 4 Tots, the Courage Center, and a large number of Senior Living Centers.

The Armstrong Chamber Singers have been featured in past performances with Doc Severinson, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Minnesota Youth Symphony, and have performed for the King’s Singers.  They have appeared at multiple Regional and State Choral Conventions.

The Armstrong High School Chamber Singers consistently represent their school as members of the Minnesota All-State Choirs and with NATS finalists and semi-finalists.  Since its founding in 1970 the ensemble has received 42 consecutive Superior ratings and earned the Best of Site award for Chamber Ensembles in eight of the past eleven years at Region 6AA Solo/Ensemble Contests.

These students work tirelessly to do well in the widest variety of academic, activity, and athletic pursuits.  They are
the finest representatives of Armstrong High School with regard to student achievement and integrity.
